I am Marisa Bivi

UX Designer + Researcher

With a background in graphic design, I bring dynamic visual direction to UX projects. I am a motivated individual with a proven ability to take on new assignments and see them through to completion. I believe that collaboration is key to ensuring the best solution that blends technical limitations and the goals of users and stakeholders.

Further, I take pride in solving difficult problems with simple, creative solutions that are approachable and intuitive to people of diverse backgrounds and needs. To achieve this goal, I feel it is important to continue to expand my knowledge while also pulling from my visual background. Of course, no matter the problem I am working to solve, a cup of tea is always part of my process.

ProntoForms

UX Designer // May 2019 - Present

Having enjoyed the past UX/UI projects I worked on, I decided to pivot my focus. I am part of a small UX team at ProntoForms and see features from their rough start to being handed off to developers and finally released to users. I have worked on 16 new features and 6 improvements, of which 12 have launched.

Irdeto

In-House Graphic Designer // April 2018 - March 2019

At Irdeto, I worked with other designers to maintain the company's brand in printed and digital marketing materials and internal communication. I worked on booth designs for over 10 global trade show events and the mobile app interfaces for 2 new products.

Arctic Leaf (formerly Arctic Empire)

Junior Designer // Mar 2016 - April 2018

I gained a lot of experience in my first role as a designer in a digital agency. During this time I worked with over 17+ clients on projects such as 9 e-commerce sites, 5 app interfaces, countless branding/packaging, printed and digital marketing materials.

Kumon

Instructor // Aug 2010 - May 2016

Originally starting out as a Kumon student myself I was asked to join the team I had looked up to. I worked with students, from Pre-K to Gr 12, in Math and Reading and trained new staff members who joined the team in procedures and job positions. Daily I would mark student work and input it for review and planning of future work as well as managing the student library.
